Our Vegan Street Festival was a huge success with almost 10k people enjoying great music and vegan food. The weather was amazing, which is rare in Brussels as you know, preparing us for an awesome summer to come...
Now let's find out: how vegan-friendly are the Belgian Festivals?
June 29, 30 & July 1 - Perk
Paradise City is a meat-free festival! They follow an amazing green charter to reduce the overall impact of their festival (including using green energy and reducing waste) and sustainable, local and tasty vegan and vegetarian food is a part of that strategy!
June 29, 30 & July 1 - Heizel, Brussels
Couleur Café (relocated at the Atomium) has taken a veggie-friendly stance for years within their worldwide arrange of cuisines and many exotic dishes. We cannot imagine going a year without those plantain fritters! So, shake what ya mamma gave ya, and see you at the Rue du Bien Mangé.
July 5, 6, 7 & 8 - Werchter
Greenway will be present at Rock Werchter to serve you their delicious wraps, kebabs, burgers and curry's. They absolutely deserve an honorary mention in this list as they will also be at Couleur Café Cactusfestival Rock Werchter Dour Festival Tomorrowland Dranouter Festival and Pukkelpop 2018! Last year, they served 65.k festival go-ers over the summer. Impressive!
August 10, 11 & 12 - Ieper
Not a lot of people may know this but this festival has been going strong serving 100% absolutely only vegan food since 1992! The heavy line-up might not be for everyone but it sure is worth paying them a visit to discover the food.
August 19th - Flanders Expo, Ghent
Our comrades from Ghent, BeVegan, are growing bigger and better each year! They were truly an inspiration for our Brussels' Festival and we are sure it is going to be legen- wait for it- no dairy of course: vegan!
